BY Training changes lives by providing short-term construction training classes, and put yourself on the path to a family-supporting career that makes you proud. Our programs may vary by state. BY Training
BY (Build Yourself) courses teach basic safety, construction math, hand and power tools, construction drawings, basic rigging and communication skills. Graduates earn at least two industry certifications: NCCER Core and OSHA 10 over 8-9 weeks of class. The last day of class is a job fair with construction industry employers who are hiring.
BY Plus
BY Plus is an extension of the BY course with the addition of paid, hands-on work. Students receive further support from the staff and local community centers in order to be successful throughout the program.
Who’s Eligible
ALL BY classes are free for all students.
Students must:
Be age 18 or older
Be eligible to work in the U.S.
Be able to lift 50 lbs.
Have reliable transportation.
Consent to a criminal background check.
